Stratford station
In June 2007, the railway opened the first of its two new platforms at Stratford station. The new platforms provide passengers with improved waiting facilities, CCTV, information and seating. The second platform is now open and has enabled us to increase train frequency on this route.
Langdon Park Station
A new DLR station at Langdon Park, situated between All Saints and Devons Road stations on the DLR route to Stratford opened in in December 2007. The station serves the nearby Teviot and Lansbury housing estates and Langdon Park Secondary School and plugs one of the longest gaps on the DLR network.
Shadwell station
As part of the yourailway campaign, DLR have looked at ways to improve walking routes to stations and their environments. At Shadwell, a series of phased improvements at street level around the DLR station have taken place making the station brighter and more open.
New trains
An order of 55 new-look trains is currently in production, with introduction into passenger service expected later in 2008.
