DLR - Tower Gateway Station closure

Lewisham-Crossharbour reduced service

From 30 June until 25 August 2008 the frequency of services between Lewisham and Crossharbour will be reduced significantly. This is due to trains between Greenwich and Island Gardens operating on a single track during construction to extend platforms to accommodate three-carriage trains.

Services in both directions will connect at Island Gardens with a step free, cross platform interchange. Due to overcrowding it may be necessary to temporarily close some stations.

Four supplementary bus services will operate Monday to Friday during peak times, to support train services. Passengers are advised to use the bus services during busy periods. See below for further details.

06.30 to 10.30* – northbound only**
15.30 to 21.00 – southbound only**

* DLR4 07.00 to 09.30hrs
** Routes operate one-way only

DLR1 Island Gardens – Canary Wharf
Via Mudchute, Crossharbour and South Quay (Limeharbour), up to every 5 minutes
DLR2 Lewisham – Cutty Sark
Via all stations, up to every 6 minutes
DLR3 Greenwich – North Greenwich Express
Service via Cutty Sark, up to every 3 minutes
DLR4 Lewisham – North Greenwich Express
Service via Cutty Sark, every 6 minutes

A valid ticket or Oyster card is required for the bus services. Please allow extra time for your journey.
